Active crusaders for blood donation: Sarpanch, Panchayat members and a young worker of Muvada village

Many women in Muvada (Ruvabari) village are malnourished, especially the pregnant women and pose a huge threat of life loss. As most of the women have hemoglobin less than 7%, at the time of pregnancy they have to take iron sucrose injections without fail. And if at times blood is not available on time during the delivery then life of mother and child remains in danger. Maheshbhai being the active young worker of Muvada village has attended many meetings and trainings by Devgadh Mahila Sangathan and ANANDI, therefore he is well aware of the health and needs of his villagers. It is indeed worthwhile to mention that the Sarpanch and Panchayat members along with Maheshbhai have made it as a life motto to take care of women’s health and have made blood donation camps possible in the village. So far he has been able to collect 96 units of blood from his own village and from a nearby village Antola. This way he is committed to make health a priority.
