She is also a great force behind encouraging students to attend the school on a daily basis. Her weekly visits to the school helps Shardaben in keeping an eye on its functioning as well as pays attention so that quality education and appropriate mid-day meals are provided to all.

With her constant efforts and grit, Shardaben has been able to put a stop to the malpractices being done with poor people. Deserving families could access the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana because of Shardaben’s timely intervention. The trainings received from ANANDI proved fruitful as Shardaben could submit online applications for families to access the schemes of government. Out of the 165 online applications done by her, 47 have already got homes. She is happy that her efforts could bring solution to so many families.

Shardaben has been instrumental in making life better for many women in her village. Ten widowed women have started receiving pension because of her efforts. Earlier, these women used to take money from local money lenders at 20 to 25% interest to sustain life. Shardaben’s constant work has helped Surtiben, Jumliben and Shardaben Rameshbhai Baria access their rights.
